Drupal has an excellent content manager, with safe and simple text entry which can be declared as HTML or semi-HTML, or POL (plain old text).

Entering and creating structured content is natural and easy.

There is a natural interchange between edit and experience modes.

Tasks often required (like making a short version) have been well thought out and do not require special methods to implement.

It is not a WYSIWYG editor. Maybe it is with other templates.
